Operations Manager

We are looking immediately for an Operations Manager in a full-time position.

Our association is in a growth phase and requires competent support to ensure and further develop operational processes. The administrative team manages many cross-functional tasks within the association, from membership, volunteer, and personnel management to accounting and IT infrastructure. As the Operations Manager, you will lead and expand the team.

Location: Berlin

40 hours per week, initially limited until 31.12.2025.
An extension is intended.

Your Tasks:

  • Independent management of the organization’s daily operations, especially in personnel and finance, accounting, and IT.
  • Leading the administration team consisting of full-time and volunteer staff.
  • Effective support of the board in collaboration with other leaders on leadership tasks and strategy development.
  • Ensuring smooth operations, developing, and improving all work processes.
  • Supporting the board in budget planning.
  • Maintaining relationships with partners.
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external meetings.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and statutory obligations in your work areas.

Your Profile:

  • University degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Solid knowledge of business functions such as HR and finance.
  • Practical experience in data analysis, performance metrics, and IT/business infrastructure.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making competence.
  • Confident demeanor and strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Openness and sensitivity to cultural and socio-political developments.
  • Very good German and Russian language skills (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian and English is an advantage.

  • Salary based on TV-L 12, level 1/2 (depending on experience and competencies).
